The South West Fashion Festival kicks off this weekend, and we are excited!

1. Slammers finals

Finals have arrived in the State Basketball League and this weekend is your chance to support the Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers men's team. While the women's team will continue their quarter finals series in Perth, the men will clash with Willetton Tigers at Eaton Recreation Centre. After opening the series in Perth last weekend, game two will be played at 7.30pm on Friday. If a deciding third game is required, it will be played at 7.30pm on Saturday - also in Eaton.

2. SW Fashion Festival

The best of South West fashion will be on display over the weekend at the South West Fashion Festival. It begins on Friday night at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre with local designers and artists parading followed by the fifth SWFF party. On Saturday, there will be events including vintage couture and emerging designers' parades, a future fashion stars lecture and a WA designer roadshow. More details at www.swfashionfestival.com .

3. New Aussie classic?

Australian cinema will be showcased when Last Cab to Darwin opens at Grand Cinemas Bunbury on Thursday. Michael Caton, Jacki Weaver and Emma Hamilton all feature in this film, which tells the story of a cab driver from Broken Hill. The driver, played by Caton, heads on a journey to Darwin after being told he does not have long to live and discovers plenty about life along the way.

4. Dinosaur Zoo

Meet awesome prehistoric creatures, from cute baby dinosaurs to some of the biggest carnivores that have ever walked the planet, when Erth's Dinosaur Zoo comes to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Thursday at 6pm. Book through www.bunburyentertainment.com or call 1300 661 272.

5. Football action

Round 15 of the South West Football League season features two big matches involving four of the league's top five teams. Eaton Boomers travel to Donnybrook, Augusta-Margaret River hosts Carey Park, Bunbury play Harvey Bulls and Collie Eagles are against South Bunbury from 2.30pm on Sunday. The round begins 4.40pm on Saturday when Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault hosts Busselton.

6. Sister city photos

An exhibition of Bunbury photos which will be displayed in Japan opens on Saturday night. The sister cities reciprocal photography competition, which occurs every two years, will involve the top 40 Bunbury photographs being displayed for two weeks at Bunbury Regional Art Galleries. Awards for the best three photographs in both the open and youth categories will also be announced on Saturday.

7. Warriors' final game

The South West's representative rugby league team will play their final home match of the season on Saturday. The South West Warriors will clash with the Joondalup Giants at Bunbury Runners Club in a match that starts at 2pm on Saturday. This is the last opportunity to see the Warriors on their home field.

8. Live at the Prince

Fremantle five-piece The Brow will play at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Bunbury on Thursday night. The electronic and hip-hop act will host a pre-launch party before their double A-side is released. These tunes will provide a taste of the band's upcoming debut album. The band was formerly The Brow Horn Orchestra.

9. Hamlet

Bell Shakespeare returns to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Saturday night with a new production of Hamlet - one of William Shakespeare's greatest tragedies. Book through www.bunburyentertainment.com or call 1300 661 272.

10. Open mic night
