1. Songbook tour

Australian country music superstars Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey are joining forces for the Great Country Songbook tour, with a stop at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Thursday night from 8pm. Audiences can look forward to hearing Troy and Adam perform songs such as He Stopped Loving Her Today, Behind Closed Doors and You’re My Best Friend, as well as duets from Adam and Troy of Lights on the Hill and Walk the Line to name just a few. 3. Scitech Festival

From Thursday to Saturday the Scitech Science Awareness Festival will be held at the South Bunbury Football Club and Newton Moore Senior High School. The three days include hands-on science and careers advice from WA industry, community groups and universities.

4. Big Bra Link

On Saturday enjoy a day at Back Beach and raise awareness and funds for the Breast Cancer Care of WA by joining in an attempt to build a chain of bras. Donations can be made by bringing clean unwanted bras for donation, cash donations or buying a sausage sizzle.

5. Bunbury Stakes

Head to the Bunbury Turf Club this Sunday for the Bunbury Stakes Day in what is sure to be a fantastic day in the lead up to the Bunbury Cup. With fashions on the field, live music from Bourne Entertainment and an exquisite luncheon by Vat2 it is sure to be a great day out.

6. Catch a movie

Bunbury Grand Cinemas is the perfect place to catch a movie and this Thursday is the highly anticipated opening of Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters. Vampire Academy follows Rose Hathaway who is a Dhampir, half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discreetly within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi.

7. Trotting action

The Bunbury Trotting Club has a massive race night this Saturday which is sure to get everyone excited with three major races – the $25,000 Manea Classic, $20,999 Battle of Bunbury and $14,999 Dash for Cash. Be sure to get down to the Bunbury Trotting Club for a massive card of racing.

8. Marquee Music

The Sanctuary Golf Resort is hosting Marquee Music this Sunday – a free performance from acoustic musician Abbie Reilly. Starting at 4pm to 7pm it is a perfect event to relax and enjoy the time. Snacks and meals are available from Vittoria’s Restaurant and Bar.

9. Big breakfast

The Zonta Club of Bunbury’s 2014 International Women’s Day Breakfast will be held on Sunday at the Lighthouse Beach Resort from 8.30am for a 9am start. Guest speaker is the chief scientist of Western Australia 2006-2013, professor Lyn Beazley. Come and celebrate the 2014 International Women’s Day with your friends, help to raise funds for Zonta projects and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
