Father-daughter team Rob and Kate Witten will team up once again in the hope of winning the feature race at the final meet of the Bunbury Turf Club season on Wednesday.

Kate will saddle up on Hot Rumor in the $25,000 Skyracing.tv Provincial Championship Series Heat, when it jumps from barrier three on its home course.

Last time the five-year-old Bay Mare hit the BTC it came second from an outside barrier and rode home strong, just to be Playboy Persona who stormed home.

The Gino Poletti-trained Playboy Persona will hope for a repeat performance, with former Bunbury Cup winning jockey Shaun O'Donnell to take to the saddle across the 1400m race.

Fellow South West jockey Kyra Yuill will mount New Zealand's Makaties Keeper for the 10th time in 11 races, where they had success before, albeit at a lesser distance.
