Charlotte has the write stuff
Talented Australind Senior High School graduate Charlotte Clark has put her thoughts to paper, producing a second piece of published literature in two years.
Published in Primo Lux - a student anthology of poetry collected every year from young poets in Years 10 to 12 around WA - Miss Clark is one of only two students from the school to relish in the accomplishment.
"I had my work published in last year's edition and submitted a different poem again this year," she said.
"I draw on my life experiences and situations around me for inspiration and this year's poem idea came from one of my friends who was having a difficult time at home."
Literature teacher Michelle Aslett described Miss Clark as a fantastic student with a flair for writing.
"Charlotte has always been a sophisticated thinker with really fluent expression and writing is definitely her forte," Dr Aslett said.
"She has a real gift for poetry and she is the only one from Australind Senior High that has had her work published twice in Primo Lux."
Miss Clark will be taking a gap year before heading to Perth to study a double major in English and Creative Writing and Religion in 2017.
