Hundreds of people are expected to flock to one of South Bunbury Primary School's biggest fundraising events of the year on Sunday.

The annual Christmas Fete is on at the school from 10am-2pm.

The school's P&C president Glenn Gates has promised a fun-filled family event including bouncy castles, pony rides and food and entertainment.

There will also be about 50 stalls selling speciality items designed to be Christmas presents as well as games, a sausage sizzle and a book sale.

Mr Gates said the highlight was likely to be a highly anticipated raffle for a $2000 Thermomix. About half of the 400 tickets had already been sold.

The school has been preparing for the fete for weeks.

On Friday, students in Kaylene Turner's Year 1 class were busy making Christmas cards for sale.

"The school is right on board with the fete," Mr Gates said.

"The pre-primary and kindergarten kids have even chosen their own pre-loved toys for sale.

"There are some lovely stories of how the school community is behind the fete and looking forward to it."
