Bunbury's CBD is set for more colour and creativity with walking street art festival Re.Discover launching its third year later this month.

The festival, which was founded by artist Andrew Frazer in 2014, has brought the ideas and talents of local, WA, Australian and international artists to the city centre's walls.

Mr Frazer said Re.Discover 2016 would feature more artists and more murals than previous years, adding more than 14 murals to 2014's six and 10 this year.

"The vision was always to create 25 outdoor murals over the three years, supporting businesses and generating a sense of excitement," he said.

The festival will run from January 13-16, with details about the artists, schedule, sponsors and volunteer opportunities being revealed at the launch on October 29 at Maker + Co from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Mr Frazer said feedback from the past festivals had been positive and he was excited for January.

"I've heard that people are planning their holidays to be in Bunbury for the festival - that's one of the most exciting things for me," he said.

People will be able to get involved with numerous interactive activities including a furniture workshop, artist Q&A and walking tours, and there will be spaces to sit and watch the artists while they work.
