Port dredging in SW coal export plan
Griffin Coal's ambitious plan to dredge 11.5ha at Bunbury's port could take about 40 weeks and involve underwater rock blasting.
Parent company Lanco wants to construct and operate Berth 14A as part of a plan to increase its coal exports to about 15 million tonnes a year.
Works also include building a new rail loop, two enclosed stockpile sheds and ship loading facilities.
The public has until July 17 to comment on the proposal, via Griffin's website.
