Mojo's Restaurant has brought the alfresco dining craze to Bunbury, setting up a refurbished sea container out the front of the Victoria Street eatery.

The transformed sea container - known as The Crate - was installed on September 29 and features additional seating for patrons.

Restaurant owner Juliana Frisina said the space aimed to draw more people to the central business district

"We are wanting people to come into town so we felt we needed to make an attraction for them to come," she said.

Ms Frisina said The Crate was fully licensed and would boast live entertainment.

"It is not to add space to our area, it is more to show out-of-towners that Bunbury can be vibrant and that we have something funky," she said.

Restaurant co-owner Noel Brunning said the alternate alfresco area added to Bunbury's cultural vibe.

"This type of alfresco dining is all the rage in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and we are just trying to bring a bit of it here," he said.
