Draft closed
After a bunch of passes the draft is done at 71 picks.
However, there are still plenty of chances for youngsters to make it to an AFL list with the rookie draft tomorrow as well as train-on and SSP opportunities.
Pick 71 (Greater Western Sydney)
Logan Smith from the Giants academy will join the senior list.
He’s a 204cm ruckman who was named an U18 All-Australian.
His midfielders will enjoy playing under him.
Pick 70 (Essendon)
After a lot of passes, Zak Johnson gets to Essendon.
He averaged 26 disposals per game and loves to carry the ball.
Pick 69 (Geelong)
Keighton Matofai-Forbes is a Cat.
He’s a powerful medium forward with a big kick.
He only showed glimpses but reportedly has potential.
Freo done
The Dockers and Eagles are out of the draft.
They have passed on all remaining picks and are packing up.
The end is near now.
