AFL Watch: Tom Gross, Bo Allan, Clay Hall among 16 AFL-listed West Coast Eagles in WAFL loss to Claremont

West Coast were overrun by a rampant Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium on Anzac Day. Here’s how the 16 AFL-listed Eagles fared. Tom Gross: The best Eagle afield, particularly when the game was up for grabs in the first half. Finished with 24 disposals and a very impressive goal from 50 metres out. Clay Hall: Another solid contributor in the midfield with 27 touches and a goal but Claremont’s trio of Sandover Medallists proved too strong. Jobe Shanahan: Impressive to watch. Great overhead and with the groundball. Finished with 2.2 and looks to be building nicely. Coen Livingstone: Played forward again and kicked two goals. Took a good contested mark on the goal line for his first. Harry Barnett: Played forward and was well beaten by Ollie Eastland when he pinch-hit in the ruck. Malakai Champion: Had some really exciting moments and created opportunities but couldn’t finish off his work. Loch Rawlinson: Very busy early with eight touches to quarter time. Finished with 17 disposals and nine score involvements. Jack Petruccelle: Took his opportunities to kick two goals. Also had 13 disposals, four marks, four tackles and four clearances. Harvey Johnston: Impressive on the wing, taking important marks and was clean around the ground. Finished with 20 touches. Bo Allan: A really strong start with his pressure and disposal impressive. Dropped off as he ran out of gas to finish with 12 touches. Callum Jamieson: Got through unscathed in his return to football after 10 months on the sidelines. Finished with nine disposals as a key defender. Harry Edwards: Took some strong contested marks but also made some errors. Tiger Jaiden Hunter troubled the talls with five goals. Rhett Bazzo: Continues to build well from a long-term injury. Had 18 disposals and took five marks. Bailey Williams: A good ruck battle with Claremont star Ollie Eastland. Finished with 20 touches and seven clearances. Lucca Grego: Exciting to watch in bursts but faded in and out to finish with 12 touches. Sandy Brock: Had an impact up the ground but Claremont tall forwards dominant. Finished with 12 touches and three marks.
