InsureandGo has reintroduced multi-trip travel insurance policies. The Australian travel insurance provider’s popular annual policy covers travellers for unlimited overseas trips within a 12-month period.

+ Multi-trip insurance allows travellers to be covered for 12 months from the moment their first trip starts. It can be more cost-effective than taking out individual insurance policies for each trip. It also reduces travellers’ “admin”.

+ There is no limit to the number of trips covered, but the policy offers coverage for a maximum duration of 30, 45 or 60 days per trip within the 12 months.

+ It also helps travellers who like to be flexible with travel dates.

David Mayo, commercial and marketing director at InsureandGo, says: “The increase in international seats across carriers flying out of Australia is making overseas travel more accessible for Australians.

“Before the pandemic, our Annual Multi-Trip insurance made up a significant portion of our international policies. We expect a similarly healthy take up this year.” For eligible travellers, the policy includes:

+ Unlimited medical and hospital expenses outside Australia.

+ Emergency medical evacuation or repatriation costs.

+ Cover for dental treatment (limits apply).

+ Trip cancellation coverage (up to the insured amount, depending on the policy level).

+ Expenses for cutting trips short or additional emergency expenses (such as for family emergencies or disasters).

+ Travel delay compensation.

+ Coverage for lost, stolen or damaged belongings (limits vary based on the policy tier).

+ Pet care if delayed returning home.

+ Rental car excess waiver (available for certain levels).
