Can you afford to live in Bunbury?

Bunbury is one of the least affordable regional centres in Australia, according to a new global survey of the affordability of home ownership.

The report, released this week by researcher Demographia, looked at 325 cities in six English-speaking countries as well as Hong Kong, to rate how affordable they were to live in.

While Perth was found to be the most affordable Australian capital city, it was rated the 35th least affordable of all the cities surveyed.

Bunbury was rated 228 on the list and was labelled ``seriously unaffordable’’.
