Motorist lucky to be left with only minor injuries after car rolls in crash on Forrest Highway in Glen Iris

A motorist was lucky to be left with only minor injuries following a crash near the Bunbury Farmers Market last week. Traffic was slow-moving on the Forrest Highway in Glen Iris on Thursday after a two-vehicle collision during the morning peak period. A Nissan Navara ute was travelling north on the busy stretch of road when it collided with a stationary Toyota Yaris hatchback before 8.30am on Thursday. The ute was flipped on to its roof with the force of the collision. It is understood the male driver on the ute was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the hatchback was not injured. It took about an hour to clear the crash scene, with traffic in the northbound lane slowed while emergency services dealt with the situation. Bunbury Police expressed their gratitude to passing motorists for stopping to help with the situation.
